I Love Yawaragi! やわらぎ大好き！！！！！

I'm sad because Yawaragi closed on May 6.
5月6日にやわらぎが終了して、悲しい事だと思います。

My first time at Yawaragi was a March 19 celebration dinner. 初めてやわらぎへ行ったのは3月１９日のお祝いdinner.


I enjoyed the tempura course at the counter with my Cornell classmate.
コーネル大学の同級生と一緒にコウンター席で天ぷらコースを楽しんで食べました。

That was when we learned that Yawaragi was closing on May 6. We felt very sad to hear the news.
あの時でやわらぎが５月６日に終了する事を耳にしました。私たちがその情報を聞いて、残念な気持ち感じられました。

The head chef, Mr. Honda, is so kind and friendly. We became instant friends that evening.
本田料理長がとても優しくて親切な方ので、その時から仲良しになりました。

I love Mr. Honda's smile!本田料理長の笑顔が大好き！！！！！！！！！

We had a very good time on May 4, celebrating my sister Tammy's victory at the Kangaroo Cup in Gifu.　　The Yawaragi staff really helped us a lot.

On May 6, I invited my sister's good friend Shinobu Asagoe to come to Yawaragi as one last surprise for Mr. Honda. It was also a surprise 1st anniversary dinner for Shinobu and her husband.

I told Mr. Honda that Tammy thinks he should open a tempura restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. There are many Japanese businessmen and tourists there. Plus Thai people LOVE fried foods. I think it would be very interesting to create fusion tempura, like spicy fried shrimp.

What do you think of "Hondaya" as a name for the new restaurant?
